After pitching in the season finale of St. Lucie on Sunday and then the finale of Brooklyn on Wednesday, Jeurys Familia temporarily has returned to Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Familia, not quite ready to return to the majors, likely will be assigned to one of the Mets' three remaining postseason teams in the next day or so. Savannah leads its South Atlantic League first-round series, 1-0, while Las Vegas and Binghamton trail, 2-0, and face elimination on Friday night.

Familia, 23, is returning from June 5 surgery to clean out his pitching elbow.
