PHILADELPHIA -- Travis d'Arnaud, who has repeatedly been struck of late with back swings, has switched to a catcher's helmet with more protection of the back side of the head and neck.
D'Arnaud said catchers generally avoid the bulkier helmet because it is not as comfortable.
After using it Saturday, though, d'Arnaud said: "It felt fine."
