Player vote: Byrd NL Comeback finalist

Marlon Byrd is one of three finalists for the Players Choice Award for NL Comeback Player of the Year as voted upon by his peers.

The other finalists: Now-Pirates teammate Francisco Liriano and Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki.

Byrd hit a combined .291 with a career-high 24 homers and 88 RBIs between the Mets and Pirates.

Last season, he hit a combined .210 with one homer and nine RBIs between the Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox before being released and then picking up a 50-game PED-related suspension.
