The Mets are not yet aware when Matt Harvey will undergo Tommy John surgery that will force him to miss the 2014 season, a team official said.

GM Sandy Alderson announced Oct. 4 that Harvey would have the procedure to repair a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament later this month.

Dr. James Andrews will perform the procedure.

Harvey tweeted Saturday that he was spending this week in Los Angeles.

UPDATE: Agent Scott Boras told reporters at Dodger Stadium that Harvey's surgery will occur in about a week.
