While the Daily News reports that Johan Santana has sold his Upper East Side apartment, the two-time Cy Young winner may have an old home to go back to.

The Minnesota Twins are among the teams that have expressed interest in signing Santana, agent Ed Greenberg told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

“Johan still loves Minnesota,” Greenberg said. “It has created an interesting option for him. But it is in the early stages, and a lot of teams have contacted us.”

Santana's offseason home is in Fort Myers, Fla., where the Twins conduct spring training. He was traded from the Twins to the Mets on Feb. 2, 2008.

Santana has started throwing a baseball on flat ground at 90 feet as he works back from April surgery to repair a torn anterior capsule in his left shoulder.
Adam Rubin has covered the Mets since 2003. He's a graduate of Mepham High School on Long Island and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He joined ESPNNewYork after spending 10 years at the New York Daily News.
