Robles clears waivers, removed from 40

Right-hander Hansel Robles cleared waivers and was outrighted off the 40-man roster.

Robles remains Mets property.

The move drops the Mets' 40-man roster to 39 until Chris Young passes his physical and is formally added next week.

Robles, 23, went 5-4 with a 3.72 ERA in 16 appearances (15 starts) for Class A St. Lucie this past season. He had 66 strikeouts and 29 walks in 84 2/3 innings.

Robles also made six relief appearances in the recently completed Arizona Fall League. He had a 4.00 ERA in 18 innings.
