Propsect Bradford slowed by oblique injury

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Right-handed prospect Chasen Bradford, in camp as a non-roster invite, has been limited in his activity early in camp by a strained oblique muscle.

Bradford, 24, went a combined 9-3 with a 2.61 ERA in 50 relief appearances between Class A St. Lucie and Double-A Binghamton last season. He allowed 64 hits and 17 walks (two intentional) while striking out 61 in 69 innings.

He then tossed 11 2/3 scoreless innings while going 2-0 with a save in 10 relief appearances in the Arizona Fall League.

The 35th-round pick in 2011 out of the University of Central Florida should resume throwing within a week.
