JUPITER, Fla. -- Terry Collins said Wilmer Flores will start at shortstop for a third time in spring training on Tuesday, although the manager suggested that is unrelated to dissatisfaction with Ruben Tejada.

Tejada went 1-for-3 with two strikeouts Monday in a 10-7 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. He is now hitting .120 (3-for-25) this spring training.

“I want to play him at shortstop,” Collins said about Flores. “He’s gone to this [fitness camp] thing this winter to where he worked very, very hard on his agility. I want to see it in action. The best place to see it is out in the middle of the field.”
