PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Terry Collins has all of his projected starters in the lineup Thursday with one exception ... Daniel Murphy.

Murphy told ESPNNewYork.com he tweaked his right leg in a recent game and described it as sore. He wants to take a couple of games off to allow it to heal.

Collins said the injury is to the calf, which Murphy jammed stepping on second base on a double.

Murphy last played in a Grapefruit League game on Sunday, when he went 3-for-3 against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Murphy wanted to make the trip three-plus-hour trip to Fort Myers on Friday to face the Minnesota Twins, since his brother Jonathan is a minor-leaguer there. But Collins does not want him on a bus that long coming back from an injury, so Murphy is likely to reenter the lineup Saturday.

He missed time earlier in camp with a right shin injury, but this injury is unrelated.
