NEW YORK -- Jenrry Mejia was examined by a team doctor and also threw a baseball Sunday and was deemed healthy, Terry Collins said.

The manager added that Mejia is all set to face the Cincinnati Reds on Friday at Citi Field.

Mejia had been struck with a line drive in the right forearm Friday in Montreal. X-rays there were negative, and he was diagnosed with inflammation.
