NEW YORK -- Reliever Vic Black has landed on the disabled list at Triple-A Las Vegas with a pinched nerve on the right side of his neck, although the injury is believed to be minor.
Black walked two and hit a batter in his first 51s appearance, apparently feeling healthy. The next morning he felt the pinched nerve.
He resumed throwing Sunday with no ill effects and should be activated from the DL later this week.
The neck issue is new and not believed to have contributed to Black's spring-training control issues that led to him opening the season in Vegas.
