9:41 p.m.: Josh Thole strikes out to end the game. But the story is K-Rod's return. Phillies 4, Mets 0

9:37 p.m.: Third strikeout of the night for Davis. Two out, two on in the ninth for Fernando Martinez, who gets drilled by Ryan Madson.

9:27 p.m.: Fans cheer as Rodriguez gets Ibanez to fly out to center to end the eighth. Phillies 4, Mets 0

9:19 p.m.: Those left at Citi boo Francisco Rodriguez, who comes out to pitch the ninth in his first appearance at Citi Field since he was suspended for two days after he allegedly struck the father of his girlfriend in the face after Wednesday's game. Phillies 4, Mets 0

9:14 p.m.: Luis Castillo pinch-hitting for Tejada. Castillo grounds out to first. Chris Carter pinch-hitting for Beltran. Phillies 4, Mets 0

9:05 p.m.: Elmer Dessens pitching for the Mets after Parnell's scoreless seventh. This is Dessens' first appearance since Aug. 1. Phillies 4, Mets 0

8:56 p.m.: Bobby Parnell on for Misch in the seventh. Parnell had two rough outings as the Mets eighth inning reliever last week.

8:53 p.m.: Wright hears it from the sizeable crowd on hand at Citi Field after grounding out to Halladay to end the sixth. Phillies 4, Mets 0

8:49 p.m.: Jeff Francoeur pinch-hitting for Pat Misch. Misch had a solid start, giving up eight hits but only one earned run in six innings. Look for Misch to start on Thursday in Houston.

8:45 p.m.: The Mets were a force-out away from getting out of the sixth unscathed. But David Wright let a Jimmy Rollins grounder trickle through his legs with the bases loaded and two out, allowing Jayson Werth and Shane Victorino to score. Phillies 4, Mets 0

8:34 p.m.: Elmer Dessens warming in the Mets bullpen. Dessens hasn't pitched since Aug. 1. He gave up four runs that day in the Mets' 14-1 loss to Arizona.

8:21 p.m.: Mets get the double-play they were looking for thanks to Mike Sweeney, who grounded into a 5-4-3 double-play to end the inning. Phillies 2, Mets 0

8:18 p.m.: Poor throw by Tejada on that would-be double play ball from Ibanez. Tejada's throw was low and sailed into left field passed Jose Reyes. Jimmy Rollins scored on the error. Phillies 2, Mets 0

8:11 p.m.: For the second straight night, the Mets fail to score with a runner on third and none out. Tonight, Angel Pagan grounded out and David Wright and Carlos Beltran struck out against Roy Halladay. On Friday night, Jeff Francoeur (K), Henry Blanco (K), Ruben Tejada (BB) and R.A. Dickey (ground out) failed to drive in Mike Hessman from third.

8:05 p.m.: Jose Reyes leads off the fourth with a triple off the base of the wall in right-center.

7:59 p.m.: Official scorer gave a single to Carlos Ruiz and charged Misch with an error for allowing Shane Victorino to advance to third on the throw. WilsonValdes grounds out to end the top of the fourth. Phillies 1, Mets 0

7:39 p.m.: Placido Polanco's RBI single snaps a 38-inning scoreless streak for the Phils at Citi Field this season. They were shut out in a three-game series here in late May and blanked again by R.A. Dickey on Friday night. Phillies 1, Mets 0

7:36 p.m.: And a Phillies pitcher ruins another no-hit bid for the Mets. Roy Halladay singles off of Misch. Jimmy Rollins follows up with a single. Two on, two out in the top of the third.

7:31 p.m.: Fernando Martinez hits a harmless pop fly to short stop. Martinez is 2-for-14 since being called up on August 7.

7:13 p.m.: Trouble-free 1-2-3 inning in the top of the first for left-hander Pat Misch. Mets 0, Phillies 0
