NEW YORK -- Juan Lagares' rehab assignment will shift to Las Vegas beginning Monday night.

Lagares played seven innings in center field for Class A St. Lucie on Sunday.

He is eligible to be activated from the disabled list on Wednesday, but would appear more likely to meet the Mets in Denver during a four-game series that begins Thursday.

Lagares is on the DL with a pulled right hamstring.
Adam Rubin has covered the Mets since 2003. He's a graduate of Mepham High School on Long Island and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He joined ESPNNewYork after spending 10 years at the New York Daily News.
