deGrom Montero DENVER -- Mets general manager Sandy Alderson suggested to ESPNNewYork.com on Friday afternoon that Jacob deGrom and/or Rafael Montero may soon begin relief work at Triple-A Las Vegas.
"I think we're at the point where anything is possible," Alderson said.
DeGrom, 25, is 4-0 with a 1.89 ERA in six starts. Rafael Montero, 23, is 3-1 with a 4.31 ERA in six starts.
Alderson said the bullpen work at Vegas will be a "first step, but not a necessary step" toward introducing deGrom and/or Montero to the majors in the bullpen this season.
