DENVER -- Daisuke Matsuzaka’s right-calf injury, which required a visit from the trainer during Saturday’s relief appearance, apparently is not too severe.
Matsuzaka, initially thought to be unavailable Sunday, was warming in the ninth inning of the Mets’ 5-1 victory against the Colorado Rockies.
“He said he felt great today,” Terry Collins said. “That’s why I had him up. If one more hitter got on in the ninth inning, he was in the game.”
