DENVER -- Kirk Nieuwenhuis made a highlight-reel catch for Las Vegas during Game 1 of a doubleheader Sunday, but it forced him from the game.

Nieuwenhuis banged an elbow crashing into the wall in the Triple-A game at Tacoma catching Xavier Avery's fly ball to end the second inning. He was replaced by Anthony Seratelli in left field the following frame.

The injury does not seem severe, and Nieuwenhuis could be back in the lineup as soon as Monday.

Nieuwenhuis had been demoted Thursday when Juan Lagares was activated from the disabled list.
