NEW YORK -- Terry Collins does not foresee Jenrry Mejia landing on the disabled list, but the manager also expects the closer to remain unavailable on Saturday.

Mejia underwent an MRI on Friday. He has swelling in his lower back and continued stiffness after departing Thursday's game.

"They gave him some medication to relax the area a little bit," Collins said. "But he's got some swelling. So they said it's probably going to be a day or so before he's going to be available. No DL."

Collins added that Curtis Granderson (left ankle) also probably would not be available again Saturday.

"We won't know until he gets here in the morning and goes through his stuff with the trainers," Collins said. "He's pretty frustrated with it, but I think it still might be one more day. But we'll see how it is."
