PITTSBURGH -- Anthony Recker expressed no alarm, but the backup catcher was escorted postgame by trainer Ray Ramirez through the bowels of PNC Park to get X-rays after getting smoked with a foul ball on his bare, right hand during Saturday's 5-3 win against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Recker played the full game. He had the right hand heavily wrapped in ice afterward, but appeared upbeat and suggested he was OK.
