SEATTLE -- Ruben Tejada did not require an X-ray on his swollen left hand after being struck with a fifth-inning pitch from Mariners starter Erasmo Ramirez on Tuesday, the shortstop said.

Tejada finished the game.

"I'm sure they'll probably have it checked, but he seems OK," Terry Collins said. "It swelled up pretty fast. I was pretty surprised."
