NEW YORK -- Terry Collins still plans to give David Wright a day off before Thursday's team off-day, although the manager did not specify which day yet.

Wright lost a 13-game hitting streak on Friday, but his production could hardly be classified as dynamic during that stretch. He had only one extra-base hit during the hitting streak.

In Wright's last 28 games, he is hitting .236 (26-for-110) with two doubles and eight RBIs.

Wright's last homer came July 11 against Miami's Henderson Alvarez. The captain enters Saturday's game with 118 at-bats since his last homer.
