NEW YORK -- Former first-round pick Brandon Nimmo and middle infielder Matt Reynolds will represent the Mets in the Arizona Fall League, playing for the Scottsdale Scorpions.
Reynolds Nimmo Also representing the organization: right-handers Julian Hilario, Cory Mazzoni, Paul Sewald and Rob Whalen.
Valentino Pascucci, currently with Savannah, will serve as a hitting coach.
The Mets will add one more position player at a later date.
Nimmo, the Mets' top pick in 2011, is hitting .246 with six homers and 25 RBIs in 207 at-bats since a promotion to Double-A Binghamton.
Reynolds, selected out of the University of Arkansas in the second round in 2012, is hitting .340 with five homers and 34 RBIs and also has 11 steals in 244 at-bats since a promotion to Triple-A Las Vegas. He primarily has played shortstop with the 51s.
Mazzoni missed a significant portion of the season after injuring a side muscle in the Grapefruit League finale.
