Mejia checks in at No. 6

Thirty-seven days shy of his 21st birthday, Jenrry Mejia (born Oct. 11, 1989) will join a short list of pitchers to start a game for the New York Mets before being able to legally drink alcohol in the United States, at least by current law.

The youngest Mets starting pitchers:
