Game 150: Braves @ Mets

By Adam Rubin

Mets lose, 6-3, and are swept by the Braves.

3:26 p.m.: The Mets place runners on the corners with none out in the seventh on singles by Ike Davis and pinch hitter Nick Evans. Davis then scores on a double-play groundout by Josh Thole. Braves 6, Mets 3, bottom 7.

3:12 p.m.: Manny Acosta serves up a grand slam to Derrek Lee in the seventh as the Braves take a 6-2 lead. R.A. Dickey departed after allowing consecutive singles to open the inning. Pedro Feliciano entered, retired Jason Heyward on a comebacker, intentionally walke Martin Prado to load the bases, and got Brian McCann on a popout before giving way to Acosta with two out and the score tied at 2. Acosta fell behind Lee, 3-0. The count eventually was full when Lee unloaded into the second deck in left field. Opponents have hit 12 grand slams against the Mets this season; the Mets have hit none.

2:38 p.m.: Alex Gonzalez has another two-out RBI single in the sixth. This one, off the glove of diving Jose Reyes, scores Derrek Lee and evens the game at 2.

1:33 p.m.: The Braves pull within 2-1 in the second inning on Alex Gonzalez's two-out RBI single.

1:24 p.m.: David Wright delivers a two-run homer in the first inning off Derek Lowe. Wright now has 655 career RBIs, which ties Mike Piazza for second on the franchise's all-time list. Darryl Strawberry ranks first in RBIs as a Met with 733.
