ST. LUCIE 4, BRADENTON 2: Jose Coronado delivered a tiebreaking two-run double with two outs in the top of the ninth as St. Lucie won Game 1 of its best-of-three Florida State League playoff series. Starter Darin Gorski allowed two runs in seven innings. John Church tossed a perfect eighth to earn the win as St. Lucie rallied from a two-run deficit. Jeff Kaplan struck out the side in the ninth for the save. Box

STATEN ISLAND at BROOKLYN (ppd.): Game 1 of the New York-Penn League semifinals between the Cyclones and Yankees was postponed due to rain. The game is rescheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. Tickets marked GAME A can be used for Wednesday's game and no exchange is needed. Right-hander Marco Camarena (3-3, 3.13 ERA) will take the mound for the Cyclones. He will oppose right-hander Bryan Mitchell (1-3, 4.09) for Staten Island. With Game 1 rescheduled for Wednesday, Game 2 will now be played Thursday. Game 3, if necessary, will be played on Friday at Staten Island.
