NEW ORLEANS 6, BUFFALO 5: The Herd fell to 0-2-2 in spring exhibition games with the loss to Miami's top affiliate. Buffalo collected 10 hits, with outfielder Raul Reyes going 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs. Outfielder Corey Wimberly went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and two stolen bases, while infielder Michael Fisher had two hits and an RBI in five at-bats. Right-hander Jeurys Familia started for the Bisons and allowed three earned runs over 5 1/3 innings. He walked four and struck out four.

BINGHAMTON 14, JACKSONVILLE 5: The B-Mets unleashed a 15-hit barrage and received five no-hit innings from Mark Cohoon in a victory over the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. Cohoon, the southpaw who split time between Binghamton and Buffalo last season, racked up four strikeouts and walked one in five scoreless innings. Greg Peavey took over in the sixth and allowed two runs over five innings. The B-Mets played two additional innings to provide ample work for the staff. Third baseman Brian Harrison went 3-for-4. The South Carolina native played for Brooklyn Cyclones last year. Shortstop Robbie Shields, a member of the St. Lucie Mets in 2011, went 2-for-3 with a homer. The B-Mets (2-2) will play an intrasquad game Friday and host the Springfield Cardinals on Saturday.
