Bay scratched

By Adam Rubin

Jason Bay has been pulled from Sunday's lineup with a jammed right ring finger. Bay had been caught stealing, actually retreating to first base, during Saturday's game.

Bay said X-rays were negative.

Scott Hairston will move to left field and bat fifth. Lucas Duda enters the lineup in right field, batting sixth.

"It's the jammed finger epidemic that's going around," Bay quipped, alluding to David Wright's fractured pinkie. "We taped it up. Then it was fine. This morning it was bruised and swollen and I can't really get it around the bat. Hopefully one day to get the swelling out, it will be fine.

"David and I, obviously there are different degrees. I'd hate to say it's anything more than a jammed finger -- just a bad knuckle."
