Murph says he's fit to be squaring baseballs
By Adam Rubin
PHILADELPHIA -- Daniel Murphy, who departed Sunday's game with what is now being labeled rotator-cuff tightness, tested his right shoulder in the batting cage at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday afternoon and confirmed he did not expect the issue to linger.
Murphy is in the lineup against the Philadelphia Phillies. He underwent an MRI on Monday.
"It just affirmed what I thought," Murphy said. "I didn't think there was anything wrong with me -- probably a little bit of a spasm during the game. So we'll be in there today. I'm excited that I'm healthy. But it's pretty much what I thought it was going to be. I already took some swings. I'll be good."
