Hamels scratched from start vs. Mets

By Adam Rubin

PHILADELPHIA -- Cole Hamels has been scratched from Wednesday night's start against the Mets because of a stomach ailment, the Philadelphia Phillies announced.

Right-hander Tyler Cloyd will be called up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to make the start opposite Matt Harvey.

Cloyd, 25, is a combined 15-1 with a 2.26 ERA in 26 starts between Double-A Reading and Lehigh Valley.

He allowed four runs in 6 2/3 innings against the Mets' Triple-A Buffalo affiliate on Aug. 8, including a Fred Lewis homer.
