Parnell nets $1.7M for 2013
By Adam Rubin
Bobby Parnell and the Mets have avoided arbitration by agreeing to a $1.7 million contract for 2013. Parnell is not eligible for free agency until after the 2015 season. He earned $504,000 last season.
The Mets still have two remaining arbitration-eligible players: Ike Davis and Daniel Murphy.
The club has not been discussing a multi-year deal with either, major league sources recently told ESPNNewYork.com.
