Mets, Ike Davis settle

By Adam Rubin

Ike Davis and the Mets have settled to avoid arbitration, a baseball source tells ESPNNewYork.com.

It's believed Davis will earn $3.125 million in 2013. He was a "Super Two" -- meaning he has three more years of arbitration eligibility before being eligible for free agency after the 2016 season.

Davis had asked for $3.7 million in papers filed Friday, with the Mets countering at $2.825 million.

Davis' settlement leaves only Daniel Murphy unresolved as far as arbitration-eligible players.

Bobby Parnell settled for $1.7 million Thursday.
