Murph already back at work with teammates
By Adam Rubin
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Daniel Murphy, who received a cortisone injection on his right side Tuesday in New York, already was heading back out with his teammates for pregame stretching and other activities Saturday. Murphy said the shot he received at the Hospital for Special Surgery has taken effect and the intercostal muscle region feels improved.
"So it begins," Murphy said inside the Tradition Field clubhouse before heading outside. "It feels good."
Murphy is not yet cleared to swing a bat. When might he start doing that?
"It's not today," he said.
