PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- The St. Louis Cardinals roughed up several Mets farmhands en route to an 11-4 win Tuesday at Tradition Field after Jeremy Hefner was forced to leave Tuesday's game with an elbow bruise.
Randy Fontanez, a 27th-round pick in 2011 from South Florida, failed to retire any of the seven batters he faced. He surrendered a grand slam to Pete Kozma and was charged with five earned runs on four hits and three walks.
