Collins on Ike: No timetable for return

By Adam Rubin

NEW YORK -- Terry Collins suggested there is no firm plan in place to bring back Ike Davis imminently to the major league club.

Davis went 3-for-4 with a double and homer on Wednesday night for Triple-A Las Vegas. He is hitting .293 with seven homers and 13 RBIs and has a .424 on-base percentage in 21 games since a demotion to the Pacific Coast League. He has 18 strikeouts in 75 at-bats.

"There has not been a timetable figured out," Collins said. "He had a nice night last night, though."

Josh Satin has excelled at first base in Davis' absence, which undoubtedly has to influence the decision about when Davis should return.

Satin (.378, 1 HR, 7 RBIs in 45 at-bats) has a nine-game hitting streak and has reached base safely in 14 straight games. He also has a .491 on-base percentage.
