Regan, 76, remains St. Lucie pitching coach

By Adam Rubin

Phil Regan, who earned the nickname "The Vulture" as a player, and who managed the Baltimore Orioles in 1995, will return to Class A St. Lucie as pitching coach. Regan will turn 77 on April 6, during the Florida State League's opening week of 2014 play.

Also returning to St. Lucie is manager Ryan Ellis, who will be in his third season managing the club. Ellis earned Florida State League manager of the year honors in 2012, when St. Lucie had a franchise-record 83-52 mark.

Joel Fuentes, in his eighth season with the organization, will serve as hitting coach.

The Triple-A Las Vegas 51s previously named Wally Backman manager, Frank Viola pitching coach and George Greer hitting coach.
