Mets hire liaison to government
By Adam Rubin
The Mets have hired Haeda Mihaltses for the newly created position of executive director, external affairs.
She will "be the organization’s main liaison with city, state and federal officials and oversee relations with community stakeholders" -- undoubtedly important with all the development being planned around Citi Field, among other issues that arise.
Mihaltses spent 12 years as former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg's director of intergovernmental affairs, a position within the senior executive management team. She previously worked for 15 years with the New York City Council’s finance division.
She resides in Bayside, Queens.
