Tired Ike pulled from Disney game
By Adam Rubin
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Ike Davis was pulled from Sunday's split-squad game against the Atlanta Braves after only four innings, but Sandy Alderson said there was no significant issue.
Davis, who recently returned from a right-calf strain, felt "beat" and "fatigued" but was uninjured, Alderson said. The Mets ultimately lost to the Braves, 4-1, at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
Davis was playing for the fourth straight day in a Grapefruit League game. He had been absent from those games for 18 days with the calf injury before returning Thursday.
