Ike missed taking field due to illness
By Adam Rubin
NEW YORK -- Where was Ike Davis when the Mets took the field for the first time in 2014?
The first baseman said his delay was "illness related." And it probably does not need to be detailed more graphically than that.
Several Mets are battling the flu.
Davis, after a delay, eventually got to first base in time for Dillon Gee's first pitch of the season.
