Farnsworth reacts to decisive homer
By Adam Rubin
NEW YORK -- Kyle Farnsworth offered no second-guessing for the 2-2 fastball Jarrod Saltalamacchia deposited over the left-field wall for the game-deciding homer in the Marlins' 7-6, 10-inning win against the Mets on Saturday night.
"It was supposed to be a fastball away," Farnsworth said about the pitch to the first batter of extra innings. "It came a little middle. If I'm going to get beaten, I'm going to get beat with my best pitch. ... I'm going to be aggressive. I'm not going to try to walk anybody. I'm going to go after the hitters."
