ASG: Wright in third place in third base race

By Danny Knobler | Special to ESPNNewYork.com

NEW YORK -- David Wright has been an All-Star starter five times. He still has a chance to make it six.

Wright ranks third in a tight race at third base in the first All-Star voting totals announced Wednesday by Major League Baseball. Wright, with 278,840 votes, trails Nolan Arenado of the Colorado Rockies (318,111) and Aramis Ramirez of the Milwaukee Brewers (282,843), with Juan Uribe of the Los Angeles Dodgers (270,425) just behind him.

No other New York Mets player ranked in the top five at his position (or in the top 15 among outfielders).
