Buddy Carlyle accepts return to Vegas
By Adam Rubin
SAN FRANCISCO -- Right-hander Buddy Carlyle, who was dropped by the Mets when Andrew Brown joined the club, has cleared waivers and accepted an assignment to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Carlyle, 36, tossed 4 1/3 scoreless innings in two appearances. His three-scoreless-inning contribution May 31 in Philadelphia marked his first major league action since 2011 with the Yankees and first win since 2008 with the Braves.
