Teagarden to remain on DL
By Adam Rubin
NEW YORK -- Taylor Teagarden will remain on the disabled list with the Mets, although he had been eligible to be activated on Monday.
Terry Collins said Teagarden legitimately had been dealing with a strained left hamstring when the Mets placed him on the DL on June 22.
Teagarden's DL stint has allowed the Mets to defer a decision about whether to keep him or Anthony Recker at the major league level.
