Murph Ks in lone All-Star at-bat
By Adam Rubin
NEW YORK -- Daniel Murphy's first All-Star Game is in the books.
Murphy, the lone Mets representative, entered at second base in the bottom of the seventh at Target Field. A half-inning later, he faced Seattle right-hander Fernando Rodney with two outs and two on base and with the National League trailing by two runs. Murphy struck out.
That score held as the American League ultimately won, 5-3.
