Santana leaves game with pec strain

Johan Santana left Thursday’s game against the Atlanta Braves with a strained pectoral muscle, the team announced. He completed five innings before departing.
He threw 65 pitches and had allowed one run and three hits while walking one and striking out three.
There had been rumblings Dillon Gee will be promoted after Triple-A Buffalo's season. If Santana cannot start next turn in Washington on Tuesday, perhaps Gee could get that assignment.
