Mets farmhand Adrian Abreu suspended 80 games

NEW YORK -- New York Mets minor leaguer Adrian Abreu has been suspended 80 games by Major League Baseball for a positive test for metabolites of Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing drug, the league announced.

Abreu, primarily a first baseman and catcher, was hitting a combined .188 with five RBIs in 64 at-bats this season in Class A with Savannah and St. Lucie.
