TACOMA 10, LAS VEGAS 7: Starter Chris Schwinden allowed six runs (five earned) on eight hits and three walks in five innings. Andrew Brown homered twice and Wilmer Flores also went deep, all against Tacoma starter Hector Noesi. Brown, who had returned Friday from an oblique injury, went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and four RBIs. He is hitting .378. Box

Franco and a single to Tommy Joseph in the second inning, then retired 13 straight. Kelly Dugan ripped a two-run homer against Syndergaard with two outs in the sixth to cut Clearwater's deficit to 6-3. Syndergaard allowed a hit and walk before departing in the seventh. He was charged with four runs and six hits with one walk. Jim Fuller issued a bases-loaded walk in the seventh before retiring Dugan on a flyout to escape further trouble in the inning. Randy Fontanez pitched a scoreless eighth. T.J. Chism worked around the bases loaded with a scoreless frame in the ninth. The Mets jumped to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. Rivera had a triple off the wall in center to score Jonathan Clark and Robbie Shields. Aderlin Rodriguez followed with an RBI single and later scored on wild pitch. Gilbert Gomez delivered a two-run single in the sixth to extend the Mets lead to 6-1. The Mets (32-29) also scored three runs in the ninth. Dustin Lawley had an RBI fielder's choice.
