The Hall of Fame released its ballot for next summer's induction eligibility, and Bernie Williams probably is the player with the best credentials on the underwhelming list, which also includes ex-Met Jeromy Burnitz. (See full list/news story here.)
Things get far more interesting a year from now, when players who last appeared in the majors in 2007 are eligible.
That group includes Mike Piazza, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa, Curt Schilling and Craig Biggio.
