Nets announce preseason schedule

It is very likely these games will never take place. Nevertheless, here's the Nets preseason schedule.

The New Jersey Nets will open their 2011-12 campaign with a six-game preseason schedule that includes three home contests at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, Nets General Manager Billy King announced today.

The Nets the six-game slate will be comprised of home and road sets with three Atlantic Division rivals: the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers.

The preseason tips-off in Trenton, New Jersey at the Sun National Bank Center with a road contest against the Philadelphia 76ers on October 13 at 7:00 p.m. The home preseason schedule commences with three consecutive contests at the Prudential Center, as the Nets play host to the New York Knicks on October 18, the Philadelphia 76ers on October 20 and the Boston Celtics on October 24. All three games will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The Nets close out the preseason with a pair of road matchups versus Boston on October 26 and New York on October 28. Both games will tip at 7:30 p.m.
