Barclays Center construction update

Barclays Center construction is on schedule to be completed by Jay-Z’s venue-opening concert on Sept. 28, according to a spokesman for the $1 billion arena.
The arena is about 60 percent complete, according to the spokesman. Steel is 97 percent fabricated and 95 percent erected. The roof deck is 65 percent decked, concrete on the metal deck is 97 percent in place and pre-cast seats are 80 percent cast.
The transit connection is on schedule for Spring 2012 completion, and will open with the arena.
