Rapid Reaction: Thunder 84, Nets 74

WHAT IT MEANS: The Nets still haven't put together a winning streak. On Saturday night, they went just 3-for-23 from 3-point range, tied a season-low by shooting 31 percent, and eventually lost, 84-74, to the Thunder on Saturday night at Prudential Center. Kevin Durant had 20 points and grabbed a team-high 15 rebounds for the Thunder (13-3). The Nets (4-12), who came into the game having made 132 3s, the second highest total in the NBA, trailed by as many as 17. Oklahoma City shot just 41.6 percent -- the worst percentage of any team against New Jersey this season.

TURNING POINT: When the Thunder went on an 11-0 run late in the first quarter to take a 28-14 lead.

R-WEST > D-WILL: Russell Westbrook outplayed Deron Williams, outscoring him, 21-14. D-Will shot 5-for-18 from the field, 0-for-6 from 3-point range and had just six assists. D-Will collided with Serge Ibaka late in the third quarter and fell down in pain, but returned with 8:40 left in the fourth.

THE ROOKIE: MarShon Brooks got off to a strong start, making his first four shots. But he missed 11 of his next 13, and scored just six points after the first quarter, when he had eight

DOUBLE HUMP: Kris Humphries recorded his sixth double-double of the season, scoring 12 points and grabbing a season-high 16 rebounds, but he shot just 6-for-17 from the field.

IRON UNKIND: The Nets made three of their first four shots, but missed 30 of their next 42 attempts in the first half and went into the locker room down 48-35. The Nets shot 32.4 percent in the opening 24 minutes and committed 12 turnovers.

PLAY OF THE GAME: Late in the first quarter, Brooks iso’d against Durant on the right wing. Brooks took a couple dribbles before Durant stripped the rookie and skied in for a breakaway dunk.

STAT OF THE NIGHT: DeShawn Stevenson made his first two-pointer of the season on a tip-in in the second quarter. Stevenson had missed his first six two-point attempts.
