The Nets announced Thursday that point guard Jordan Farmar will miss the rest of the season with a sore right groin injury.

The Nets said Farmar will continue to receive treatment. Farmar has not played since March 24 against Charlotte.

He will end the season averaging 10.4 points and 3.3 assists; he shot 44 percent from 3-point range.

Farmar has a player option at $4.25 million for 2012-13.
